This program is designed to equip participants with knowledge, skills, and strategies to make good decisions when facing pressures and time constraints. It covers how to remain calm and focused and how to rely on both intuition and structured processes to navigate uncertainty and make sound choices quickly. 

Essential to managing challenging situations well is recognizing and overcoming personal stress responses and building adaptability and resilience that will greatly enhance decision-making outcomes during intense situations. 

Participants will get a practical framework and Management Action Plan (MAP) for making good decisions in difficult situations. 

Topics covered in this session include:

  • how to manage pressure and time constraints;
  • understanding personal stress signals and how to cope with fight, flight, or freeze responses;
  • effective decision-making frameworks and common pitfalls; and
  • building a personal toolkit for continuous improvement and managing future challenges.

This program leaves participants with the ability to act decisively when it matters most. 

As an offering within the Housing Professionals Institute, class credits may be allocated to a Leadership Certificate, Management Certificate, or Onsite Professionals Certificate.
