Many people associate post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with combat or major disasters, but trauma can arise from a wide range of experiences, including interpersonal violence, medical events, loss, and other life circumstances that overwhelm a person’s ability to cope. Roughly five percent of Americans have PTSD in a given year, and women are about twice as likely as men to develop PTSD over the course of their lifetimes.

In this webinar, we will define PTSD and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) and review common signs that may indicate a history of trauma or PTSD.

We will also discuss practical, respectful ways to respond to trauma-related reactions and behaviors, with time reserved for questions.

This class will not be recorded.
