Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are already showing up in affordable housing work. They’re answering questions, drafting letters, and doing work on our behalf. This session is a practical look at what AI can genuinely do for housing professionals today, where it fails, how to adopt it responsibly, and a glimpse into the future of how AI could transform the affordable housing industry.
We’ll walk through the basics of AI and Machine Learning and then demonstrate real use cases that are grounded in the work you already do. We’ll also talk about some of its potential risks such as inaccurate answers, resident data privacy, and fair housing considerations, and of course, we’ll talk about how to tackle those risks and use AI responsibly and securely.
Whether your agency is already experimenting with AI or hasn’t started, you’ll leave with a clear picture of the landscape, a realistic sense of what’s useful now versus what’s still hype, and practical first steps for you and your team.
This session will not be recorded.
