chfa welcomes new community relationship managers serving western slope, mountain regions
(DENVER) – Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) welcomes Tegan Ebbert and Kris Valdez as the newest Community Relationship Managers (CRMs) serving the Western Slope and Mountain regions. CHFA’s CRMs advance CHFA’s community outreach, support local affordable housing and economic development goals, and increase awareness of CHFA’s programs while living in the communities they serve.
Tegan Ebbert, Community Relationship Manager, Western Slope Region
Ebbert will advance CHFA’s affordable housing and economic development mission in Delta, Garfield, Jackson, Mesa, Moffatt, Rio Blanco, and Routt counties. She has worked extensively in local government for the last 12 years. In these roles, she has worked in close partnership with members of the community to connect residents and local businesses with the resources they need. Ebbert enjoys focusing on the overall wellbeing of communities and seeking ways to improve the outcomes of the people who choose to live in them.
Originally from Wisconsin, Ebbert has lived in unincorporated Routt County for the last decade with her husband, Silas, and children, August, Oscar, and Marigold. In her spare time, she can be found digging in her garden, experimenting in the kitchen, or enjoying time on her patio in beautiful northwest Colorado.
Kris Valdez, Community Relationship Manager, Mountain Region
Valdez will advance CHFA’s affordable housing and economic development mission in Chaffee, Clear Creek, Eagle, Grand, Lake, Park, Pitkin and Summit counties. She brings a range of skills to her role at CHFA, including experience in project management, community engagement, and stakeholder relations. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed building relationships, solving complex challenges with her sense of humor intact, and finding ways to help projects move forward while listening to the needs of the community.
Outside of work, Valdez can be found spending time with her family, exploring the Colorado mountains, reading a good book, or working on one of her many side projects, including mentoring women in land use planning.
